Definition and Usage

The ADDDATE() function returns a date after a certain time/date interval has been added.

Syntax

ADDDATE(date, INTERVAL value unit)

OR:

ADDDATE(date, days)

Parameter Values

Parameter Description
date Required.  The date to be modified
days Required. The number of days to add to date
value Required. The value of the time/date interval to add. You can specify positive and negative values for this parameter
unit Required. The unit type of the interval. Can be one of the following values:
  • MICROSECOND
  • SECOND
  • MINUTE
  • HOUR
  • DAY
  • WEEK
  • MONTH
  • QUARTER
  • YEAR
  • SECOND_MICROSECOND
  • MINUTE_MICROSECOND
  • MINUTE_SECOND
  • HOUR_MICROSECOND
  • HOUR_SECOND
  • HOUR_MINUTE
  • DAY_MICROSECOND
  • DAY_SECOND
  • DAY_MINUTE
  • DAY_HOUR
