The PC99 System Design Guide, authored by Intel Corporation and Microsoft Corporation, is a Technical Reference for Designing PCs and Peripherals from the Microsoft Windows Family of Operating Systems. It is a requirements document (contains no examples) designed to provide guidelines for hardware design that will result in the optimal user experience, particularly when the hardware is used with the Windows family of operating systems. USB is a requirement for 1999 and 2000 systems.
